Photo does not come out as JPEG

I sent a photo from the camera to Photomax who said it was not standard JPEG. This is a concern as it would be great if it was. It is a pity that it is not a standard format as I could then send photos direct.

Another disquieting piece was that the alarmseems to have ceased working at the set time. I managed to get one of the three alarms to work, but not the other two.

Last but not least, I was running out of minutes so I wanted to upgrade. Online it was Okay as long as I added another year to my contract and, oh yes, it would only start in the new month and I was stuck with the over minutes for this month! This was not acceptable, so I called customer service and after puting me on hold for perhaps 10 minutes the Indian lady said OK and the plan was now upgraded. So that was good!

Other than that, all seems to be fin with my phone.

An article by "Momus" which is not quite right

Take a look at this article. There are some good points made, but the fact of the cell being a time saver is one he misses. The problems encountered are actually not generated by the phone, but instead by the lack of courtesy by the user.

Momus Cell Phone article

This article is from the Wired news columns site.

Momus may have elected to not cover a few points:

For example, It is common courtesy to turn off the phone while at a concert or movie as Momus does point out. Similarly, it would also be a courtesy to turn it off while visiting a friend, or even while at work.

Cheers,

Stephan
I try to get people to call me during lunch break or after work, for personal matters. I block out certain times of the week for certain activities and focus on those at the time and do not encourage calls during those times. Any calls after 10pm are taboo!

Overall it is not the phone itself, it is the person using it who uses the instrument as an excuse!
